Services: Management Development
"Every issue or problem in an organization is at its core a
management problem.  Nothing has a greater impact on the
success of your organization than the quality of the
management team."

Developing good managers and leaders, and a good leadership team, is not
easy.  Most attempts to do so fall sadly short
, in part because they are often
based on a faulty understanding of what management development is
, and in
part because they
assume "one-size-fits-all."  We know better.

First, we customize our development programs to the individual and team
needs of the managers.

Our approach to management development programs is straight forward.  The
programs can be divided into two phases: an
assessment phase and a
development phase.

Assessment Phase.
We do a thorough assessment of the individual
managers.  Plus, we assess management team dynamics and the culture of
the organization.  Based on assessment results, and in consultation with top
management, we make development recommendations base on what is
needed to help the managers and management team achieve the results that
are most important to the organization.

The thorough assessment helps the managers create an accurate awareness
and understanding of both themselves and their management peers.  This is
all done from a positive and constructive perspective, with one of the aims of
the development phase being to help managers leverage their strengths for
higher performance results, while minimizing the effects of their limitations.

Development Phase.  After the assessment phase, the development phase is
created based upon identified needs and desired outcomes.  The
development phase can consist of one or more of the following elements:
team development sessions, individual manager development modules, and
follow-up one-on-one or team coaching.  The most effective programs include
all three, which in combination result in the greatest growth, both of the
individual managers and the management team.
